Healthy Cafeteria Lunches
In 2010 the Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act (HHFKA) required the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) to update the nutrition standards for our cafeteria lunches for the first time in 15 years. As of 2012, these updated regulations require that we offer more fruit, vegetables and whole grains and limit sodium, calories and unhealthy fat in every school meal.
Our cafeteria food service provider, Maschio's, operates within these standards. You can also see Maschio's website for further details.
