2025-2026 Notification of Assessments

Each year the District Assessment Information is shared with our school community and public.  The table of information for 2025-26 is attached.  Please note that this year the New Jersey Student Learning Assessment (NJSLA) has changed to an adaptive testing format.  As a student navigates the assessment, questions will be given based on the success or failure of the previous questions.  Adaptive testing is not new to our district, as the benchmark iReady assessments are adaptive and given to each student at GHS several times throughout the year. 

With the new NJSLA format there is mandatory field testing that each district in New Jersey is required to facilitate.  The field test will be administered this fall in grades 4-8 math and language arts, and we anticipate no results being released to schools or students.  

In the spring all students in grades 3-8 will complete the NJSLA in math and language arts, and students in grads 5 & 8 will complete the NJSLA science exam.
