Kindergarten Leave Replacement Teacher

Qualifications: The successful candidate will possess a standard K-6 Certification.

Position Available: Available Immediately until March 30, 2026 pending BOE approval and all relevant paperwork.

Schedule: Full time, 8:05 am – 3:20 pm daily

Salary: $65,437 – Step 1 of Salary Guide Pro-rotated to time worked, No benefits included

Substitute Custodians

Full Time Day Shift Custodian

JOB GOAL: To provide a safe, clean and comfortable school environment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Black Seal License

2. Minimum experience as determined by the board

3. Knowledge of plant operation and maintenance; cleaning methods and procedures; heating and ventilation; proper handling of hazardous materials

4. Ability to perform long periods of standing, climbing, bending, stooping, moving of furniture, and walking; frequent lifting of objects weighing approximately 50 pounds

5. Ability to respond to emergencies as directed by the Facilities Manager or Night Shift Supervisor both during and outside of regular work schedule.

6. Comprehensive and effective facility with written and verbal communication

7. Required criminal history background check and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status

8. Current residency in New Jersey, approved residency waiver or candidate agrees to obtain residency within one year of employment

 PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Building Security

1. Opens/closes the building each day. Determines, before leaving, that all doors and windows are secured, and all lights, except those left on for safety reasons, are turned off.

2. Checks daily to ensure that all exit doors are open and all panic bolts are working properly during the hours of building occupancy.

Building Maintenance

1. Keeps building and premises, including sidewalks, driveways, and play areas neat and clean at all times.

2. Operates heat, ventilation, and air conditioning systems to provide temperatures appropriate to the season and to ensure economical use of fuel, water, and electricity.

3. Cleans and dusts classrooms, offices, library and faculty room daily; empties waste baskets in these areas.

4. Cleans corridors after each school day, and during the day when their condition requires it.

5. Cleans and sanitizes bathroom fixtures and floors daily, and replenishes paper and soap supplies as needed.

6. Cleans and sanitizes all drinking fountains daily.

7. Cleans cafeteria dining areas after use.

8. Executes environmental accommodations related to student health and safety and implements specific cleaning directions and other required measures to further the protection of students and/or staff members with potentially life-threatening allergies and/or physical disabilities.

9. Obeys all fire/safety and environmental laws and regulations relating to the plant operation.

10. Cleans boards daily.

11. Moves furniture or equipment within the building as required for various activities and as directed by the head custodian, principal or school business administrator.

12. Complies with all laws and procedures for the storage and disposal of recyclables, trash, waste, and debris.

13. Conducts an ongoing program of general maintenance, upkeep and repair, making minor repairs and reporting major repair needs promptly to the head custodian.

14. Cleans all windows on both the inside and outside as scheduled.

15. Keeps all floors in a clean and attractive condition and in a good state of preservation.

Grounds maintenance

1. Keeps the grounds free from rubbish and debris.

2. Shovels, plows, salts, and/or sweeps sidewalks, steps, driveways and parking areas.

3. Displays the U.S. flag during school hours on days when school is in session.

4. Performs grounds-keeping chores including grass-cutting, tree-trimming, leaf raking and removal of litter, to maintain the grounds in a safe and attractive condition.

Other

1. May be required to wear a standard uniform selected by the district for security purposes.

2. Ability to manage time effectively and work as part of a team

3. Performs related duties as assigned.

 

Schedule: Full Time, Monday to Friday 6:30 am – 2:30 pm with additional hours on weekends and evenings as necessary

Salary: $42,000 - $45,000, Full Benefits Included.

Part Special Education Teacher – Middle School Math Teacher

Qualifications: The successful candidate will possess a CEAS or standard Middle School Math Certification and a Teacher of Students with Disabilities Certification or Teacher of the Handicapped Certification.

Position Availability: Immediately Available pending BOE approval and all relevant paperwork. Position available through 6/30/26.

Schedule: Part Time, 9:00 am – 12:00 pm daily

Leave Replacement - School Psychologist

The Green Township School District is hiring a full-time school psychologist for the 25/26 school year. This leave replacement position will run from 1/5/26 to 6/1/26.

JOB GOAL: To enable students to derive the fullest benefits from school by promoting their sense of self and by evaluating and working to ameliorate psychological or mental health problems that may interfere with their adjustment to school and the education program offered to them.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1.     Valid New Jersey Educational Services Certificate and School Psychologist Endorsement

2.     Minimum experience as determined by the board

3.     Knowledge of laws and regulations governing special education and demonstrated ability to effectively provide testing, psychological evaluation and counseling services

4.     Strong interpersonal and communication skills

5.     Required criminal history check and proof of U.S. citizenship or resident alien status 

6.     Current residency in New Jersey, approved residency waiver or candidate agrees to obtain residency within one year of employment

7.     Participates in the evaluation, classification and placement of all students with special needs.

8.     Administers, scores and evaluates standard psychological tests for the purpose of assessing the intellectual, educational, emotional, social and behavioral characteristics of students

9.     Interprets the results of psychological testing and assists in the development and coordination of an appropriate individualized education plan for each student requiring special education and/or related services and participates in the ongoing evaluation of the academic progress and educational placement of classified students.

10.  Serves as a case manager as assigned and maintains appropriate case records.

11.  Provides psychological counseling to students, parents and staff and, as needed, makes referrals to appropriate community resources.

12.  Observes students in classrooms and other school settings.

13.  Serves as a consultant to parents, school personnel and community groups on child development and mental health topics.  

14.  Performs all duties required as a member of the child study team by administrative code, state and federal laws and board policy.

Salary: $65,437 Prorated to the Length of the Leave Replacement, No Benefits Offered

CDL Drivers

The Green Township School District is hiring certified CDL drivers for the 24/25 school year.
The vehicle utilized for this CDL Driving will be a district owned minivan.

Time of Run: The anticipated run time will be from 7:05 am – 8:05 am and from 2:20 pm – 3:20 pm.

Salary: The rate per run will be $50 an hour. There will be a minimum payment of 1 hour for all
runs. Additional time beyond the first hour will be accrued on a 15 minute increment.

Part Time After Care Staff 

The Green Township School District is hiring staff members to serve as after care staff for the 24/25
school year.

Qualifications: The successful candidate will be able to monitor and support students in a kind and compassionate manner. *Please note that there is not a provision for a number of college credits fo rthis position.

Part Time: 2:45 pm - 6:00 pm, Monday to Friday

Salary: $15.49 an hour. Benefits are not included.

Bus Monitors

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will monitor and support positive student behavior on school
buses on the way home from school.

Schedule: Monday to Friday from 3:15 – 4:15 pm on days school is in session for the 24/25 school year (Actual time may be less than 1 hour.)

Salary: $30 per day per run. Benefits are not included.

Substitute Teachers

Substitutes help every school district run smoothly and we are always looking for excellent substitute teachers. 

Qualifications: The successful candidate must have a minimum of 30 credits, be at least 20 years of age, and work well with children.

Schedule: Per Diem

Salary: $115 per day, if you sub 4+ days in one week, you get paid $125 per day.

Substitute Nurse

The Green Township School District is hiring substitute school nurses.

As a substitute school nurse in Green Township, NJ, you'll provide temporary, on-call nursing care to students, including assessing health needs, administering medications, providing first aid, and maintaining health records, all while supporting a safe and healthy school environment. 

Requirements:             Valid New Jersey Registered Nursing License

Standard School Nurse Certificate or Substitute Nurse Certificate required

(The district can help you obtain a substitute certificate)

CPR/AED Certified

Salary: $350 per day from 8:00 am to 3:20 pm

Substitute Main Office Administrative Assistant 

The Green Township School District is hiring substitutes for the main office administrative assistant. This position will require training on roles and functions in the main office including answering phones, addressing guests, supporting students and staff in daily tasks, implementing a substitute list for coverage, and any other day to day operational tasks within the main office.  Previous experience in the role is preferred but not required.

Salary: $115 per day from 7:30 am to 3:30 pm

Substitute School Security Officers

The Green Township School District is hiring substitute school security officers (SSOs).

Salary: $35 per hour from 7:30 am to 3:30 pm  

Schedule: Per Diem as Needed

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1.  Retired law enforcement required
  2.  Minimum experience as determined by the board
  3.  Knowledge of child welfare and compulsory education laws and regulations
  4.  Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  5.  Required criminal history background check with demonstrated unblemished career as law enforcement officer
  6.  Proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status
  7.  Valid weapon carry permit as assigned by the Superintendent of New Jersey State Police, with board authorization to carry a weapon on school property. (N.J.S.A. 2C:395),(N.J.S.A. 2C:39-6)
  8.  First Aid/CPR/AED Certified
